I’m Suzi, the person behind The Homemade Helper, and my work is rooted in real life experience, not theory. After raising children and navigating periods where everyday tasks felt overwhelming, I came to understand just how valuable practical help and genuine companionship can be. Many people manage quietly, doing their best while juggling responsibilities, health changes, or simply the pace of daily life.
That understanding shaped how I work today. I offer friendly, reliable home help that fits naturally into everyday routines. Whether someone needs company, help with tasks around the home, or support getting out and about, my focus is always on making life feel a little easier, calmer, and more manageable.

I have spent 11 years working in healthcare and the past 2 years as a Personal Assistant, building strong, trusting relationships through care and support. I now provide mother’s help to new mums, offering practical assistance and gentle guidance to help make the transition into motherhood feel a little easier and more supported. I bring a caring and reliable approach to everything I do. I love helping people, staying organised, and making everyday tasks easier for those I support. Born and raised in Coventry, I bring a strong sense of community, professionalism, and compassion to my work.
I have experience supporting visually impaired clients while out and about, acting as a trusted “pair of eyes” to help them move around safely and confidently. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, always putting health and safety first—whether that’s on shopping trips or attending medical appointments or attending social events. I understand the importance of clear communication, giving accurate descriptions, and respecting independence while offering support when it’s needed. My aim is to make every outing feel comfortable, safe, and enjoyable.
I hold a wide range of relevant certifications, including Child Protection Levels 1, 2 and 3, Paediatric Life Support, Environmental Management, Health and Safety, Mental Capacity Act, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Information Governance, Handling and Moving, Infection Control, Conflict Resolution, and Theatre Count Competencies.
I take pride in being approachable, dependable, and adaptable, and I am committed to providing high-quality support while maintaining safety, dignity, and respect at all times.
I believe asking for help should feel comfortable and unpressured. Every person’s situation is different, so the help I offer is always shaped around individual needs, preferences, and routines. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, just practical assistance delivered with respect, patience, and consistency.
This is a personal service built on trust and familiarity. By being a regular, dependable presence, I aim to help people feel confident and supported in their own home, while giving families reassurance that someone they trust is there when they cannot always be. Everything is arranged clearly, openly, and at a pace that feels right.
From friendly companionship to practical daily tasks, my services are designed to make life a little easier, calmer, and more comfortable — always with kindness, respect, and reliability.
I believe real support is about more than ticking boxes. It’s about listening, showing up consistently, and creating a calm, respectful space where people feel comfortable, valued, and understood.

I understand how personal it is to invite someone into your home or routine. That’s why I approach every visit with respect, care, and reliability — always taking the time to understand what matters most to you.
Whether you’re looking for ongoing support or occasional help, my aim is to make everyday life feel easier, calmer, and more supported.
