These Terms and Conditions explain how my services are provided and what you can expect when arranging home help with me. Please read them carefully. By booking or using my services, you agree to these terms.


About Me

I am Suzi, operating as Home Help Coventry. I provide personal home help and companionship services to individuals and families in Coventry and surrounding areas.

I operate as a sole trader.

Services Provided

I offer non-medical home help and companionship services, which may include:

  • Companionship and social support

  • Help with everyday household tasks

  • Meal preparation (non-clinical)

  • Help with shopping and errands

  • Accompaniment to appointments or outings

  • Light pet care or house sitting (by agreement)

All services are agreed in advance and tailored to individual needs.

I do not provide medical care, personal care, nursing services, or clinical support.


Bookings and Arrangements

Services are arranged directly with me by phone, WhatsApp, email, or in person.

  • All bookings are subject to availability

  • Services may be one-off or ongoing

  • Any changes to agreed arrangements should be discussed as early as possible

I reserve the right to decline or discontinue services if they fall outside the scope of what I can safely or reasonably provide.


Fees and Payment

All services are charged at a clear hourly rate, agreed in advance.

  • There are no long-term contracts

  • No packages unless specifically agreed

  • No hidden fees

Additional costs, such as travel for errands or outings, will always be discussed and agreed beforehand.

Payment terms:

  • Payment is due as agreed, either after each visit or at agreed intervals

  • Payment methods will be confirmed when services begin


Cancellations and Notice

I understand that plans can change.

  • Reasonable notice is appreciated for cancellations or changes

  • Short-notice cancellations may still be chargeable, depending on circumstances

  • I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule visits due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen events

Where possible, I will always communicate changes as early as I can.


Responsibilities of Clients and Families

Clients and families agree to:

  • Provide accurate and honest information about needs and circumstances

  • Ensure a safe working environment

  • Treat me with respect at all times

  • Inform me of any relevant health, mobility, or safety concerns

I reserve the right to stop services immediately if I feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or if boundaries are not respected.


Boundaries and Professional Conduct

My role is supportive and practical, but clear boundaries apply.

  • I do not handle finances unless specifically agreed in writing

  • I do not provide medical advice or treatment

  • I do not lift or move individuals in ways that may cause injury

All services are provided with dignity, respect, and professionalism.


Health, Safety, and Safeguarding

I take safety seriously for both clients and myself.

  • Services may be adjusted if safety concerns arise

  • I may decline tasks that pose a risk of injury or harm

  • Any safeguarding concerns will be handled appropriately


Liability

I take reasonable care when providing services. However:

  • I am not responsible for pre-existing issues in the home

  • I am not liable for damage caused by unsafe environments or faulty equipment

  • I am not responsible for decisions made by clients or families outside of my role

Nothing in these terms limits rights under UK consumer law.


Confidentiality and Privacy

All personal information is handled with care and discretion.

  • Information shared is kept confidential

  • Details are only shared where legally required or for safety reasons

Ending Services

Either party may end services at any time.

  • I may end services if terms are not respected or circumstances change

  • Outstanding fees remain payable

Ending services does not affect any rights already accrued.


Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on my website.


Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
